We are proud to present to you our offer for a one-of-a-kind Bar/bath Mitzva day.
Feel free to contact us and together we will design the right day plan for you.
9:30 am arrival at the promenade near the fish ponds at the Kibbutz' entrance, where you will hear a short introduction about Sde Eliyahu.
From there you will embark on Nature Road:
A visit to the grape and pomegranate organic vineyard
(During grape-picking season you will be invited – for extra fee – to participate in grape picking and then take what you have picked home)
Then on to the organic vegetable garden
11:00 am
For the children – a selection of activities:
· A poppet show about Agadot Hazal or about the environment
· Arts and crafts with materials from nature
· A walk through life-stock places of work in the Kibbutz
For the grown-ups – another selection:
· Continue to the date orchard, where you will hear about the owls, see their nesting boxes, watch the falcons in action and meat the herd of donkeys that play an important role within the orchard. From there you will go on to the biological pest control plant where you will hear about the pollinating bee – the Bombus Bee – and see its unique hive.
· A lecture of your choice:
o Cooperative and the Kibbutz
o Bio-organic agriculture
o Biological pest control
o Wild life in the Beit Shean Valley
(you can choose to start your day around noon and end it in the evening)
13:00 pm gathering in the dining hall or in the recreation center for a festive dinner (you can use, should you want to, the audio-video equipment there)
An additional suggestion: Have the bar/bath Mitzva boy/girl be prepared ahead of time and act as the guide for part of the tour
